Job Summary
As an Environmental Engineer focused on contaminated sites, you will join a specialized team of five in Karlsruhe to manage complex environmental projects from initial proposal to final billing. Your daily responsibilities include coordinating field investigations, managing external drilling and laboratory contractors, and evaluating soil and water samples to assess environmental risks. You will be responsible for drafting expert reports, developing remediation concepts for contaminated sites, and monitoring ongoing safety measures. This role is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of analytical office work and occasional field visits. The position offers a high degree of autonomy within a supportive 'Du-culture' environment. You will benefit from direct interaction with senior management, a 13-month salary structure, 30 days of vacation, and the opportunity for mobile work after the initial onboarding phase. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geoecology, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in contaminated site processing or environmental engineering preferred
- Experience in coordinating external service providers such as drilling companies and laboratories
- Experience in risk assessment and the preparation of expert environmental reports
- Entry-level candidates (graduates) are welcome and will receive comprehensive training

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness for occasional project-related field visits. Position based in Karlsruhe with mobile work options (1-2 days per week) after onboarding.
