Job Summary
This role involves working in a modern soil mechanics laboratory at the Schwarze Pumpe site, where you will be responsible for the independent execution of laboratory tests on various soil samples, including sands, gravels, clays, and silts. Your daily activities will range from conducting sieve analyses to complex triaxial tests, as well as taking and processing soil samples. You will also assist with geotechnical and geophysical field investigations and handle the technical evaluation of test results. A key part of the position includes the regular maintenance, calibration, and monitoring of measuring equipment. This position is particularly attractive due to its focus on future-oriented projects like open-cast mine reclamation and renewable energy infrastructure. The role offers a 38-hour work week with flexible hours, 30 days of vacation, and comprehensive benefits including a company pension and health management, all within a flat-hierarchy team environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester (specializing in Geotechnics), Laboratory Technician, or a technical qualification such as Mechatronics or Processing Mechanics.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Materials Tester specializing in Geotechnics or as a Laboratory Technician
- Experience in technical fields such as Mechatronics or Processing Mechanics is also considered
- Proven experience in conducting laboratory and field tests on soil samples
- Experience in the maintenance and calibration of technical measuring equipment

- Valid Class B or BE driver's license (car with trailer) required. Must be physically resilient and pass a medical fitness examination by the company physician. Willingness to perform field work as needed.
