Job Summary

This role involves serving as a technical expert and certified inspector (ZÜS) focused on explosion protection and electrical safety. You will be responsible for the inspection of plants in potentially explosive atmospheres according to the Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV), as well as testing electrical systems in compliance with VdS requirements. Day-to-day activities include evaluating functional safety within electrical engineering contexts, assessing damages or workplace accidents, and generating detailed inspection reports. A unique aspect of this position is the comprehensive training program; if you are not yet a certified expert, the company provides a structured 1-2 year path to official recognition. This is a field-based role requiring regional travel to client sites to ensure technical risks are managed and regulatory standards are met. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study (Diploma, Bachelor, or Master).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of explosion protection, ideally in planning, installation, operation, or maintenance
  • Experience in testing electrical systems and complex functional systems
  • Practical knowledge of relevant technical regulations and standards (DIN, VDE, VDI)
  • Prior recognition as an A1 / A2 expert in electrical explosion protection is advantageous

Additional

  • Valid driver's license (Class B/Pkw) and willingness to perform field service predominantly within the region. Must be willing to undergo a formal recognition process and final examination to become a certified expert.
