Job Summary
This position involves joining the Urban Drainage and Sewage Treatment plant team to manage critical infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing drainage applications, providing technical advice to citizens regarding surface water drainage, and issuing statements on permit applications. You will also support maintenance and new construction measures for the sewer system, work extensively with the sewer register (Kanalkataster), and prepare public tenders. The role is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with various stakeholders and the use of specialized technical software. What makes this position unique is the flexibility it offers; while initially advertised as a part-time role (20-25 hours), there is an explicit option to increase to full-time. Additionally, it provides the stability of the German public service sector (TVöD), including comprehensive health management, professional development, and a company vehicle for business trips.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training/degree as a Technician specializing in Civil Engineering, Urban Water Management, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in urban drainage, sewer construction, or wastewater technology is preferred
- Experience in processing technical applications and providing citizen consultations
- Experience in creating technical tenders and project documentation
- Proven experience in working with technical regulations and standards

- Valid Class B driver's license is required for business trips. The position is based in Vechta and offers flexible working hours (Gliding time).
