Job Summary
As an Automation Engineer at this medium-sized specialist in humidification systems, you will be a key driver of innovation within the technical team. Your daily responsibilities involve developing new device and system controls, alongside optimizing calculation and design software to support global sales. You will manage software projects from analysis to implementation, utilizing VB.NET and Visual Studio to program control units and display interfaces. The role is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with agile international project teams at the Italian headquarters and providing 2nd-level support to global service partners. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of independent development work and international networking, offering a 37-hour work week, flexible mobile office options, and a supportive culture within the established CAREL Group network.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Computer Science.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development and programming of control systems within an electrical engineering environment
- Experience in leading or coordinating software projects within a technical department
- Proven track record in handling external stakeholders and providing customer-facing technical support
- Experience working within international or agile project teams

- Willingness to travel (approximately 5%) for visits to the Italian headquarters. Position offers up to two days of mobile office per week after the initial onboarding period.
