As a Materials Tester in Leipzig, you will play a critical role in quality assurance for a manufacturing client. Your daily responsibilities include performing non-destructive testing (NDT) such as visual, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle inspections to ensure product integrity. You will be responsible for checking product labeling, documenting test results according to ZfP qualifications, and performing minor reworks as instructed. This role requires operating industrial machinery like forklifts and cranes to transport casting samples. The position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy a structured early-shift schedule (5:30 AM - 2:00 PM). Required Skills

Education

Completed 3-year technical vocational training in materials testing or a related field; valid EN ISO 9712 certification for NDT.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of completed specialist vocational training in a relevant field
  • Valid certification according to EN ISO 9712 for NDT methods (Visual and Magnetic Particle Testing)
  • Professional experience in materials testing and quality control within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in documenting test results within the framework of ZfP qualifications

Additional

  • Valid Forklift License (Gabelstaplerschein) and Crane License (Kranschein) required. Must be willing to work early shifts (05:30 - 14:00). Must be comfortable working in an office environment with dogs.
