Job Summary

As a Wind Turbine Service Technician for NGC Transmission Europe, you will play a critical role in maintaining the drivetrain systems of wind energy plants across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve performing high-level service, maintenance, and complex repairs on gearboxes, including bearing and shaft replacements. You will also conduct technical diagnostics such as endoscopies and frequency measurements to ensure operational efficiency. This role is highly dynamic, requiring significant travel to various wind parks. What makes this position unique is the flexibility it offers; while the European headquarters is in Duisburg, you can start your assignments directly from your home location anywhere in Germany. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience specifically within the wind energy industry
  • Proven experience as a technician or mechanic working with wind turbine components
  • Experience in performing gearbox repairs and component replacements
  • Professional experience in technical reporting and service documentation

Languages

English (Basic)
