Job Summary
As a Design Engineer at HIGHVOLT, a member of the REINHAUSEN Group, you will play a critical role in supporting the global energy transition by designing high-voltage and high-current testing systems. Your daily responsibilities involve designing assemblies and systems based on electrical parameters and technical calculations, with a specialized focus on transformers and inductors. You will perform both mechanical and electrical calculations, define technical requirements for supplier components, and collaborate closely with the purchasing department for procurement. Additionally, you will act as a technical consultant for the sales team to assist in proposal creation. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy a mix of technical design and cross-departmental collaboration. Required Skills
Education
University or Technical College degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Experience
- Professional experience in the design of electrical components or systems
- Experience in performing mechanical and electrical calculations for engineering projects
- Proven track record using 2D and 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks
- Experience in defining technical requirements for procurement and supplier selection
- Experience supporting sales teams with technical documentation and offer preparation
