Job Summary

This role is based at the University Medicine Rostock within the Clinic and Poliklinik for Radiotherapy’s Radiobiological Laboratory. As a key member of the laboratory team, you will perform essential routine diagnostic tasks, including hematological examinations, while actively contributing to cutting-edge research projects focused on the combined effects of radiation and chemotherapy. The position offers a highly stable work-life balance with no late, night, or weekend shifts, which is unique for medical laboratory environments. You will work in a collaborative setting that values precision and responsibility, supporting both patient care and scientific advancement in a vibrant Baltic port city. The role is initially offered on a two-year fixed-term basis with compensation according to the TV-L public service salary scale.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MTLA/MTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or Laboratory Assistant.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a laboratory environment
  • Practical experience in microscopy and sterile working methods
  • Experience with cell culture techniques
  • Experience in performing hematological examinations and routine lab tasks
  • Experience in a research-oriented environment is preferred
