Job Summary
As the Production Manager for a traditional manufacturer of architectural paints, industrial coatings, and binding agents, you will lead a team of up to 12 employees at the headquarters in Glinde, near Hamburg. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve planning, controlling, and optimizing production workflows to ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with raw material procurement, the development laboratory, and quality assurance to drive operational excellence. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys high levels of creative freedom and responsibility. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technician (Chemikant) or a Master Craftsman in Chemistry (Industriemeister Chemie).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in production, ideally within the paint or chemical industry
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of up to 12 employees
- Extensive experience in operational safety and handling hazardous substances
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing machinery, plant utilization, and production workflows
- Experience in cross-departmental collaboration with laboratories and procurement
