Job Summary
As an IT Specialist at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, you will play a critical role in the 'Workplace Systems' unit, providing high-level technical expertise and driving digital transformation. Your daily responsibilities include managing complex third-level support issues, developing IT concepts to optimize infrastructure, and leading projects such as software migrations and digitalization initiatives. You will be responsible for license management, software packaging for central distribution, and ensuring strict adherence to IT security and compliance through audits and risk analyses. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in (Business) Informatics or a related field; or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration with several years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in third-level support for IT infrastructures and services
- Proven experience in planning and establishing IT projects such as system migrations or digitalization
- Extensive experience with operating systems, infrastructure components, and network technologies
- Practical experience in script programming and applying IT management frameworks like ITIL
- Experience in creating and maintaining software packages for central distribution
