As a Technical Officer for Immission Control at the Saxony State Directorate, you will play a vital role in environmental protection and public safety. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing technical statements for permit and notification procedures under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), with a specific focus on air pollution control for chemical plants, hazardous substance storage, and refrigeration systems. You will be responsible for monitoring both authorized and non-authorized facilities, handling appeals and legal proceedings, and providing technical supervision to lower-level authorities. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in chemical engineering or process technology who enjoys a mix of administrative documentation and physical field inspections. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related natural science/engineering field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical products, hazardous substance storage, or refrigeration systems required
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in the field if holding a general science or engineering degree
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the field or specialized study modules for deep industry knowledge
  • Experience in evaluating projects regarding emissions, immissions, and state-of-the-art technology is preferred
