Job Summary

As a Network and Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you will join the IT Infrastructure & Services department to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of a major e-commerce company's technical landscape. Your daily responsibilities include operating and advancing enterprise network environments across LAN, WAN, VPN, and routing, while implementing robust security controls and segmentation. A significant portion of the role involves managing cloud networking on AWS, specifically VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and the integration of cloud workloads. You will also maintain a virtualized Nutanix platform, support incident and change management processes, and drive automation through Infrastructure as Code. This position is ideal for those who enjoy agile teamwork, proactive system optimization, and working on large-scale cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects. The role offers a collaborative environment with short decision-making paths and a focus on modern technology stacks.

Required Skills

Education

Completed IT training (e.g., Fachinformatiker), a technical degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in the operation of complex network environments
  • Practical experience with virtualization platforms, specifically Nutanix or other HCI solutions
  • Proven experience with AWS Cloud Networking and relevant cloud services
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform
  • Experience in structured fault analysis and system optimization
  • Professional experience in infrastructure design and architecture
