Job Summary
As the Head of Finance for the Municipality of Ebsdorfergrund, you will lead the financial administration department, overseeing the treasury, taxation, and financial accounting functions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the preparation of budget and financial plans, managing annual financial statements, and overseeing budget control and investment management. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in public administration who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities and drive the economic health of a growing community of 9,000 residents. The position is unique for its high level of autonomy and the opportunity to work in a picturesque location between Gießen and Marburg. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt FH or Bachelor of Arts) or qualification as a Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in public municipal finance, budgeting, and accounting
- Proven leadership experience in a professional environment
- Extensive business management knowledge and expertise in general administrative law
- Demonstrated experience in organizational management and negotiation
