Job Summary
As a Civil Engineer at BLB NRW, you will play a vital role in managing one of Europe's largest and most complex real estate portfolios, contributing to the goal of a climate-neutral state administration by 2030. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve working within interdisciplinary teams to support the renovation, maintenance, and construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, outdoor facilities, and utility systems. You will also oversee demolition, pollutant remediation, and concrete repair. This role offers a high degree of responsibility, as you will manage external engineering firms and contractors, ensuring quality and budget compliance. The position is particularly attractive due to its exceptional work-life balance, offering flexible working hours between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM and up to 60% remote work from anywhere in Germany. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) in Civil Engineering, ideally with a focus on Civil Engineering (Tiefbau), or a qualification as a State-Certified Technician in Building Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering or construction management preferred
- At least 6 years of relevant engineering-level experience required if applying with a State-Certified Technician qualification
- Experience in managing external engineering offices and construction companies
- Experience with public procurement and billing of construction services
- Proven experience in interdisciplinary project teamwork
