Job Summary
As an Operational Analysis Specialist within the Cybercrime and Digital Evidence division of the Mannheim Police Headquarters, you will perform complex data analyses to support criminal investigations and judicial proceedings. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve using and customizing specialized research and analysis platforms to process both structured and unstructured 'Big Data.' You will develop individual IT solutions, create court-admissible reports, and present your findings as an expert in legal settings. Additionally, you will design and conduct training sessions for other units. This role is unique as it combines technical software development and data science with the critical mission of public safety and criminal justice. Based in Heidelberg, the position offers the stability of a permanent public service contract (TV-L) with flexible working hours and the opportunity to work at the forefront of digital forensics in Baden-Württemberg's largest criminal investigation department.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field qualifying for the tasks.
Experience
- Professional experience in the preparation, merging, and analysis of large-scale structured and unstructured data sets
- Demonstrated experience in software development, including commissioning, testing, and documentation
- Experience in database programming and network technology
- Proven experience in creating technical reports and presenting complex results
