As the Group Lead for Accounting and Taxes, you will take full responsibility for the financial accounting operations of the Traunstein District Office. Your daily routine will involve ensuring accurate and timely accounts payable and receivable management while leading and developing a dedicated accounting team. You will act as a key driver for digital transformation by optimizing existing accounting processes and implementing modern workflows. Beyond standard bookkeeping, you will handle complex tax matters—particularly regarding VAT—and collaborate closely with external auditors and tax consultancies for annual financial statements. A unique aspect of this role is the calculation of waste management fees and the development of cost and performance accounting systems. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (Dipl.-Verwaltungswirt), Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/BL II), Certified Senior Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), or Certified Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt).
Experience
- Professional experience in financial accounting and tax management
- Experience in leading and developing staff within a team environment
- Proven track record in optimizing and digitalizing accounting processes
- Experience in handling complex tax issues, specifically VAT
- Professional background in public administration or commercial accounting
