Job Summary

As a Cabin Systems & Avionics Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of safety-critical hardware within the aerospace and defense sector. Your day-to-day activities involve analyzing customer requirements, conducting circuit design, calculations, and simulations, and overseeing the integration and verification of boards and devices. You will play a vital role throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept and certification phases to series production. Working within agile, interdisciplinary teams, you will collaborate closely with suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing departments. A key part of the role includes creating aviation-specific documentation and supporting environmental and equipment qualification processes. This position is particularly attractive due to its long-term perspective with takeover options, a 35-hour work week with flexible hours, and the opportunity for mobile work in a modern industrial environment located in Überlingen.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of electronic components
  • Experience in hardware application design, preferably for safety-critical aviation applications
  • Experience working within agile and interdisciplinary development teams
  • Experience in the integration and commissioning of electronic boards and devices

Languages

German (Fluent)

  • Location: Überlingen; Knowledge of aviation standards DO-254 and DO-160 is highly preferred.
