Job Summary

As a Linux System Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous development of a high-scale observability environment, managing several terabytes of daily log data using tools like OpenSearch, Logstash, and Elastic Beats. Your day-to-day tasks involve optimizing data processing from a diverse server landscape and managing central open-source (No)SQL clusters including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Valkey. You will play a key role in designing and implementing new infrastructure concepts, evaluating emerging open-source projects, and driving automation through Ansible, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. This position is ideal for an open-source enthusiast who enjoys independent problem-solving and knowledge sharing through documentation. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Linux Administration or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Practical experience with Observability tools such as Logstash or OpenSearch
  • Experience managing (No)SQL databases or Software Load Balancers
  • Proven track record in automation and developing new infrastructure concepts
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
