This role involves conducting high-level scientific research within the Natural Language Learning & Generation (NLLG) Group at the Technical University of Nuremberg. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will focus on cutting-edge topics such as text generation evaluation, NLP for Digital Humanities, Computational Social Science, or AI4Science. Your daily responsibilities include publishing research in top-tier journals and conferences, presenting findings internationally, and contributing to grant applications. Additionally, you will mentor doctoral and student assistants and engage in a limited amount of university teaching. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computational Social Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific research within Computer Science, NLP, or related fields
  • Proven track record with at least 3 high-quality international publications in top-tier venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS)
  • Experience in independent research management and result-oriented working
  • Experience in student supervision or university teaching is preferred
  • Experience with interdisciplinary research and international collaborations is desirable
