Job Summary
As a Junior Linux System Administrator at InterNetworX, you will serve as the central technical contact for the Berlin-Kreuzberg office, managing employee onboarding/offboarding and overseeing hardware inventory. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving office technical infrastructure, including smart-home integrations and monitoring systems like Zabbix and Grafana. Working within an experienced team, you will support the maintenance and updates of Debian-based systems while learning to use configuration management tools like Ansible. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys open-source software and wants to transition into a senior role. The position offers a high level of responsibility for internal IT, a collaborative environment focused on finding creative technical solutions, and the opportunity to work for a critical infrastructure (KRITIS) operator. You will balance hands-on hardware management with system administration tasks in a supportive, growth-oriented atmosphere.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a similar qualification.
Experience
- Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or equivalent
- Initial professional experience in IT administration preferred
- Practical experience with Linux-based operating systems and command-line interfaces
- Experience in analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
- Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
