Job Summary

As a Junior Data Scientist at CHECK24 Möbel in Berlin, you will be instrumental in revolutionizing the furniture industry through data-driven innovation. Your daily tasks will involve the technical and conceptual development of Data Science and Machine Learning services, including generative AI for customer support, product classification, recommender systems, and email classification. You will be responsible for building new services from data collection and exploration to full implementation and release, as well as monitoring and maintaining existing services, including bug fixing and code optimization. Required Skills

Education

Very good university degree or doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or a comparable quantitative field

Experience

Practical and theoretical knowledge of Data Science/Machine Learning Python packages and algorithms
Initial experience with modern LLM-frameworks
Experience with text, image, and time series processing
Desirable experience with git, relational databases (e.g., MySQL), Linux Shell Scripting, Jenkins, Docker, mlflow, LLMs, and agentic systems
