Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position at the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA-RRW) in Krefeld involves performing microbiological analysis of food samples within an accredited public health laboratory. You will be responsible for the daily operation of specialized laboratory equipment, including PCR machines, centrifuges, and ELISA systems, to detect pathogens such as Salmonella and Listeria. The role spans microbiology, molecular biology, and quality management, requiring you to document results in laboratory information systems and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards. Education
Successfully completed vocational training as a Veterinary Medical Technical Assistant (VMTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), or Biological Technical Assistant (BTA).
Experience
- Professional experience in microbiological food analysis and laboratory diagnostics
- Experience in handling risk group 2 and 3 microorganisms
- Experience with quality management systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Experience using Laboratory Information and Management Systems (LIMS)
- Experience in molecular biological testing and ELISA procedures
