Job Summary
As an Electronics Technician for Industrial or Communication Engineering at Braunschweiger Verkehrs GmbH (BSVG), you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Braunschweig's public transport network. Working within the Light Rail and Operations Technology department, your daily responsibilities will involve performing independent troubleshooting and maintenance on critical electronic components. This includes integrated onboard information systems (IBIS), CCTV systems, ticketing infrastructure, and passenger information displays across the bus and tram fleet. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Journeyman (Geselle) or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Industrial or Communication Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Journeyman or Master Craftsman in electrical engineering, specifically in industrial or communication technology
- Practical experience in independent troubleshooting of networked electronic systems
- Experience in the application and use of various IT systems
- Prior experience or knowledge in IP network technology is preferred
