As a Research Chemist based in Heidelberg, you will play a pivotal role in the discovery of new drugs by designing and executing complex research chemistry studies. Your daily responsibilities include the synthesis of small molecules, peptides, and prodrugs, alongside developing innovative synthesis processes and screenings. You will work within a specialized, highly skilled team, contributing to intellectual property safeguarding and facilitating internal knowledge transfers to development and external CMOs. Required Skills
Education
PhD in Chemistry or a related field (Biochemistry or Life Sciences).
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical research and synthesis
- Experience in the synthesis of reagents and lead candidates within strict timelines
- Experience in developing research synthesis processes and interpreting complex results
- Postdoctoral experience in chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences, or the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Experience participating in interdisciplinary project meetings and external CMO transfers
