This role involves working within the lower emission control authority for the city of Mönchengladbach to protect public health and the environment. You will be responsible for creating technical statements regarding urban development plans, building permit procedures, and third-party planning approval processes. You will also grant permits under the Federal Emission Control Act and provide expert advice to plant operators. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or University of Applied Sciences degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Technical Environmental Protection, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply and Disposal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with an environmental focus, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in commercial emission control and cross-media monitoring of industrial plants
- Experience in creating technical statements for planning and building permit procedures
- Previous experience in public administration is highly preferred
- Experience in evaluating emission declarations and technical measurement reports
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Participation in the environmental on-call standby service (Environmental Alarm Directive NRW) is mandatory. Willingness to conduct field work and use a private vehicle for business purposes if necessary.
