Job Summary
As a Hardware Developer at Birkholz Elektronische Geräte GmbH, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of microprocessor-controlled hardware designs, from initial concept to series production. Your daily tasks include circuit development, simulation, and layout design for industrial applications such as motor protection, pump systems, and power electronics. You will play a critical role in conducting functional and EMC testing according to international standards (EN 61000, EN 61800) at the Forchtenberg facility. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and production departments to optimize manufacturing processes and thermal management for applications in harsh environments. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, or a qualification as a state-certified Technician in a related field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in hardware development and circuit design
- Professional experience in designing EMC-compliant circuits for critical environmental conditions
- Experience with industry standards EN 61000 and EN 61800 series is preferred
- Professional experience in project management from concept to series maturity
