Job Summary

As an IT Shift Coordinator at the German Federal Pension Insurance (DRV), you will lead the daily operations and shift planning for a team responsible for nationwide IT infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring 24/7 system availability, managing Oracle database administration, and driving automation tasks. You will act as the deputy team lead, serving as the first point of contact for staff while coordinating technical workflows and monitoring security incidents. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in IT, or equivalent IT-specific qualification, or completed vocational training in IT with several years of practical experience.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the IT sector, preferably within IT and server landscapes
  • Proven experience in the installation, administration, and configuration of Oracle databases
  • Professional experience with Unix/Linux environments and automation tools
  • Initial experience in professional leadership or team coordination is desirable
  • Experience in managing IT security measures and incident response

Additional

  • Must pass a security clearance check according to § 9 SÜG. Requires participation in a two-shift system (05:30-21:30). Must be willing to perform on-call duties, including nights and weekends. Occasional business travel for training and events outside of Berlin is required.
