Job Summary
As a Physicist or Instrumentation Engineer at FERCHAU, you will lead the technical development and standardization of ex-core neutron flux measurement systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve interdisciplinary collaboration across mechanical and electrical engineering departments, utilizing Cradle for requirement management and MATLAB for complex accuracy analyses. You will be responsible for the technical leadership of a small team of engineers, coordinating work packages between internal and external stakeholders. A significant portion of the role involves designing nuclear measurement technology for both existing plants and new construction projects, ensuring integration into overall control systems. You will also conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analyses and conformity assessments according to international nuclear standards like RCC-E and IEC. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Physics or a related engineering field.
Experience
- Professional experience in international small-scale and large-scale projects
- Extensive experience in creating scientific accuracy analyses and EMC analyses
- Proven experience working with international nuclear standards and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in technical leadership of engineering teams
- Experience in designing nuclear measurement technology and control systems
Languages
Additional
- Must have proficiency in using Cradle software for requirement management and MATLAB for analysis. Position requires the ability to represent technical solutions to authorities and clients. German language skills at level B2+ are a mandatory prerequisite.
