Job Summary
The University of Paderborn Library is seeking a Software Developer to join the Digital Library Infrastructure department. In this role, you will design and develop modern, web-based software solutions and APIs to enhance user services and optimize digital workflows. Your daily tasks involve creating reusable software modules, developing tools, and collaborating with the team to conceptualize new project ideas. This position is ideal for developers who enjoy working in an academic environment and want to contribute to the digital transformation of information services. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on Information Technology. Graduates of other disciplines are eligible with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- 2.5 years of professional experience in software development for candidates with a Computer Science degree
- Several years of relevant professional experience for candidates with degrees in other disciplines
- Extensive experience in at least one relevant programming language and framework
- Proven expertise in developing web applications (Frontend and Backend)
- Experience in structured, solution-oriented project work
