Job Summary
As the Head of Electrical and Automation Engineering (I&C), you will lead a dedicated team responsible for the seamless operation, maintenance, and modernization of electrical systems, measurement and control technology, and telecontrol systems within a regional water supply infrastructure. Your daily activities will involve coordinating work orders, performing troubleshooting on complex plant failures, and managing maintenance databases. You will oversee switching operations in low and medium voltage networks (up to 30 kV) and supervise external contractors during investment projects. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys a mix of strategic planning and hands-on technical oversight. Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; alternatively, a Master Craftsman (Meister) or State-Certified Technician qualification with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering or automation technology
- Experience in leading and managing technical staff and work assignments
- Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical and I&C systems
- Experience in managing external contractors and supervising construction measures
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting is highly advantageous
- Experience in medium-voltage switching operations (up to 30 kV) preferred

- Must be willing to participate in on-call duty cycles. Possession of switching authorization for systems up to 30 kV is preferred. Requires the ability to perform physical inspections of stationary and mobile electrical equipment.
