Job Summary
This is a three-year vocational training (Ausbildung) position starting in August 2026 at Welthungerhilfe's headquarters in Bonn. As an apprentice, you will join the IT Services & Processes team to support digital infrastructure across 37 project countries. Your day-to-day role involves providing IT support and helpdesk services for international colleagues, installing and configuring hardware and software (Windows 11, Microsoft 365), and maintaining LAN/WLAN networks. You will also participate in real IT projects such as software rollouts and automation. This position is unique because it offers the chance to apply technical skills within a global humanitarian context, supporting the mission of 'Zero Hunger'. The role offers a tiered training salary, flexible working hours, and the opportunity for mobile work in coordination with the team, all within a modern and agile NGO environment.
Required Skills
Education
High school diploma (Abitur) or specialized secondary school diploma (Fachabitur) preferred.
Experience
- Basic knowledge of Windows, PC hardware, and software installation
- Initial experience or strong interest in technical problem-solving
- Experience in interpersonal communication and explaining technical concepts
- Interest in international development and NGO operations
