Job Summary
As the Head of IT for the Erlangen-Höchstadt District Office, you will lead a team of 12 professionals responsible for the digital infrastructure of approximately 600 workstations. This leadership role involves overseeing the technical, personnel, and organizational aspects of the IT department, ensuring smooth operations according to ITIL standards. You will be a key driver in the strategic development of IT processes, focusing on 'Cloud-First' strategies, SaaS solutions, and outsourcing initiatives. Working closely with the Digitalization Unit, you will manage the transition of new digital solutions into regular operations while maintaining high standards of IT security and data protection. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the digital landscape of a public administration office, offering the stability of a permanent contract with the flexibility of potential job-sharing and modern working arrangements.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Business Informatics, Information and Communication Technology, or Bachelor of Arts in Public Management with a focus on IT and Management, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT leadership and personnel management
- Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure or related fields is desirable
- Practical experience implementing ITIL standards
- Experience in planning and executing IT projects, specifically Cloud-First and SaaS migrations
- Experience in public administration processes or IT budget control
