Job Summary

As a Project Engineer in Special Plant Construction, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of electrical systems for glass production and processing facilities. Your daily activities include creating technical specifications, designing machine controls, and managing drive technology. You will play a pivotal role in procurement, overseeing external manufacturing, and coordinating on-site assembly and commissioning. Beyond technical design using ECAD tools, you will act as a consultant for system modifications and new builds, ensuring all infrastructure and media supply requirements are met. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys a mix of conceptual planning and hands-on supplier management. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on highly specialized machinery with a clear path toward permanent employment through a temporary-to-permanent placement model.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification such as a state-certified Technician; ideally supplemented by a completed vocational apprenticeship in an electrical trade.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the field of electrical engineering
  • Professional experience in creating technical specifications and requirements documents
  • Experience in procurement, external manufacturing support, and final acceptance processes
  • Proven experience in designing machine controls and drive technologies
  • Practical experience in creating and maintaining ECAD plans and parts lists
  • Experience in leading and coordinating suppliers and assembly technicians
