Job Summary

As a Chemical Technical Assistant specializing in Organic Synthesis, you will play a vital role in advancing cancer research and tumor diagnostics at a family-run biotechnology firm in the Potsdam Science Park. Your daily responsibilities involve the independent organic synthesis of peptides and inhibitors, ranging from milligram to kilogram scales. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of chemical production, including purification via chromatography and preparative HPLC, as well as the analytical characterization of products using LC-MS, NMR, and polarimetry. This position is unique because it combines production tasks with applied research, allowing you to optimize existing synthesis processes while working with large-scale glass apparatuses up to 6 liters. You will work within a structured Quality Management environment, ensuring all documentation meets high industry standards while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of experts.
