Job Summary

As a Digitalization Expert at BASF InfraService & Solutions Lausitz, you will join an interdisciplinary Automation & Digitalization Excellence team driving digital transformation at a major production site. Your daily responsibilities include designing and implementing innovative digital solutions such as app development, robotics, and virtual reality. You will analyze business and operational processes to identify digitalization potential, applying data-driven and model-based methods to solve complex engineering problems. The role offers the flexibility to focus either on process engineering analytics or the development of scalable applications and AI integrations. This position is unique for its high level of creative freedom, allowing you to stay ahead of market trends and lead cross-site projects. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the chemical or process industry is preferred
  • Experience in agile project management methodologies
  • Deep expertise in at least one digitalization facet such as Data Analytics, AI, App Development, or Robotics
  • Practical experience with programming languages or development environments like Python or R
  • Experience in managing or participating in cross-site digitalization projects
