Job Summary

As a Strategic Grid Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Potsdam's energy infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing long-term strategic target grid planning for power networks across 110-kV, 10-kV, and 0.4-kV levels. Your daily work involves modeling and simulating power grids to assess the impact of electromobility and the energy transition. You will also design smart data network topologies, including fiber optics and wireless solutions (4G/LTE, 450-MHz), to ensure a connected and resilient infrastructure. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (minimum Bachelor's) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering or power technology
  • Professional experience in strategic target grid planning, construction, or operation of power distribution networks
  • Experience using grid calculation tools such as PowerFactory
  • Experience interpreting and applying technical laws, ordinances, and regulations
  • Experience in mentoring or knowledge transfer is highly desirable
