Job Summary
This role involves leading and coordinating vital environmental projects focused on the EU Water Framework Directive and flood protection measures for the Felda/Ulster/Werra Water Maintenance Association. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for project planning, creating technical specifications, and managing external specialist offices and service providers. You will act as a key liaison between authorities, municipalities, and landowners while ensuring quality control and documentation during construction phases. The position is unique for its strong ecological focus, offering the chance to preserve natural habitats within the Wartburg and Schmalkalden-Meiningen regions. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Water Management, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in water management, river ecology, or hydraulic engineering is preferred
- Experience in project management, including coordination of external service providers
- Practical knowledge in public procurement and the application process for government funding
- Experience in technical documentation and construction site supervision
- Proven ability to collaborate with public authorities and local stakeholders
