Job Summary
As the Head of PLC Programming, you will lead a specialized team within an innovative international company focused on special-purpose and machine tool manufacturing in Bielefeld. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for the innovative design and creation of high-level PLC programs for complex machine tools and systems. Your daily activities will include the continuous development and adaptation of control systems, testing developed programs, and creating HMI interfaces. You will also oversee the commissioning of machines and systems while ensuring predictable workflows and project planning. This position is ideal for a technical expert who enjoys active programming while simultaneously guiding and motivating a team through professional competence. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Software Development, or a comparable qualification/equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in PLC programming specifically with Simatic S7 and TIA Portal
- Proven experience in the design of control strategies for Siemens/Sinumerik systems
- Professional experience in the commissioning of industrial machines and plants
- Leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a technical team
- Profound experience within the machine tool or special-purpose machinery industry
