Job Summary
As a (Senior) IT System Administrator for the City of Bühl, you will join a dedicated 10-person Digitalization and IT department managing a complex infrastructure of approximately 500 workstations. Your primary focus will be the administration and strategic development of the city's server landscape, including a major migration project to Proxmox virtualization. You will be responsible for ensuring a secure and high-performance environment by managing firewalls, patch cycles, and backup/recovery protocols. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy project-based work, such as automating infrastructure and solving complex performance issues. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in complex IT and network environments
- Proven experience in Windows Server administration and file services
- Practical experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Proxmox
- Experience in implementing backup and recovery solutions
- Background in managing IT security and infrastructure projects
