Job Summary
This role is part of the 'LernKI' joint project at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, focused on enhancing student success through an AI-supported teaching and learning assistance system. As a Research Associate, you will drive the development and integration of AI tools designed to empower students via personalized feedback and motivation while evolving the role of educators through digital interaction tools. Your daily activities will involve conducting requirements analyses, designing usability concepts, and organizing co-creation sessions with students and faculty. You will act as an 'Agent of Change,' managing the local transformation process, conducting pilot studies, and evaluating the usability and interactivity of the AI prototypes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Higher Education Didactics, contributing to cutting-edge research and practical implementation within a collaborative academic environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's or Diploma) in Digital Media, Media Informatics, Media Pedagogy, Applied Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on digitalization.
Experience
- Professional experience in digital media, media informatics, or educational technology
- Experience in conducting requirements analyses and usability evaluations
- Experience in organizing and moderating co-creation or workshop sessions
- Experience in the development and implementation of digital learning tools or AI systems
