Job Summary

As an IT Systems Administrator for the Integrated Regional Dispatch Center in Zwickau, you will play a critical role in maintaining the emergency communication infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the comprehensive administration of Information and Communication (IuK) systems, including user management, hardware monitoring, and software maintenance. You will manage complex IT networks, perform qualified error analysis, and ensure the security and recovery of vital databases. Beyond routine maintenance, you will engage in forward-thinking project work such as implementing AI-supported systems and developing IT security concepts. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a permanent contract within the public service sector (TVöD E11), providing long-term stability, flexible working hours, and a comprehensive health promotion program. Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Information Technology or a related IT field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the installation, maintenance, and updating of operating systems and application software
  • Practical experience in administration of client-server networks and Active Directory
  • Experience in database administration and executing SQL queries
  • Experience in IT network monitoring and data recovery procedures
  • Experience working within emergency services or public safety organizations (BOS) is desirable
  • Experience in fire protection, rescue services, or disaster management is preferred
