Job Summary
As a Technical Materials Management Specialist, you will take ownership of the material lifecycle and master data quality within an engineering environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the independent classification of customs tariff numbers, management of GTIN and GS1 identifiers, and the evaluation of replacement materials for discontinued electronic components. You will act as a vital bridge between departments, providing technical consultancy to development teams and ensuring compliance with critical regulations such as REACH and RoHS. This role is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of technical assessment—such as analyzing component datasheets—and administrative precision in SAP. Required Skills
Education
Vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Information Electronics, Systems Electronics) supplemented by a Technician or Master Craftsman certification; alternatively, a university degree in a STEM field or similar engineering science.
Experience
- Initial professional experience in materials management or a related technical field
- Professional experience in evaluating electromechanical and electronic components
- Experience in interpreting and assessing technical component datasheets
- Practical experience using SAP software for data maintenance
- Experience working within collaborative, cross-functional technical teams

Additional
- Must have the ability to perform independent certification for customs tariff numbering. Includes flexible working hours via a personal flextime account and potential for remote work (home office) in coordination with clients.
