This role involves working as a Research Associate within the externally funded project "Textile Factory 7.0 in the field of Green Textile Finishing" at Hochschule Niederrhein. The core responsibilities focus on developing sustainable and low-energy processes for textile finishing, specifically through the use of microbial agents and enzyme optimization. Day-to-day tasks include developing procedures based on microbial active ingredients, optimizing enzymes for recycling processes, and creating water-free or low-energy finishing techniques. A crucial component of the job is supporting knowledge and technology transfer to companies and managing financial controlling for the project. The ideal candidate holds a scientific university degree (Master's or equivalent) in fields like Biology, Chemistry, or Textile Technology, possesses expertise in microbial agents and enzyme optimization, and demonstrates strong proficiency in both German and English (C1 level).
