University degree (Diplom or Master's) in a technical, scientific, or other fire service-relevant field, or a Master's degree from a university of applied sciences accredited for the second entry-level of career group 2.
Experience

- Must meet general civil servant requirements as per § 7 Civil Servant Status Act. Must be medically fit for fire service duty (confirmed by official medical report not older than 3 months at time of employment). Must be certified for respiratory protection (device group III, formerly G26.3). Proof of measles vaccination required. Must have a German Sports Badge (Sportabzeichen) in silver (from 2025). Possession of driving license class B is required, class C is desirable. Final degree certificate must be submitted at least 6 weeks before employment date.
