Job Summary

This role involves shaping the digital landscape and driving digitalization within the Information Technology department by focusing on Artificial Intelligence solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include the evaluation and integration of prototype AI services, optimizing costs and latency, and implementing robust security policies and guardrails. The engineer acts as a sparring partner for Product Owners and business units, conducting feasibility analyses covering technology, effort, data protection, and compliance. A key aspect of the role is continuously screening new AI services, frameworks (like OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models), and deriving actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field, possesses solid knowledge of cloud technologies (ideally Azure and/or SAP BTP), and has experience developing AI prototypes while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and secure AI utilization in corporate environments.
