Job Summary
The Verbundzentrale des GBV (VZG), a key service center for scientific and public libraries in Germany, is seeking a Technical Lead for FOLIO Operations. This role is crucial for managing the future of library management systems, focusing on the migration and operation of the open-source library management system, FOLIO. The successful candidate will lead the FOLIO Platform Team, ensuring the stable operation and continuous development of the central GBV-FOLIO Kubernetes platform for up to 200 clients. Day-to-day tasks involve implementing and refining operational concepts, controlling technical processes, and managing external software partners. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, proven experience in system administration (Linux/Ubuntu/RHEL), and strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Postgresql, ElasticSearch, and Kafka.
