Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the safe and compliant operation of pressure systems, high-voltage test facilities, and electrical power-driven machinery and equipment. The Safety Engineer will oversee new acquisitions and modifications from a safety perspective, conducting safety inspections, tests, and audits. Key responsibilities include performing hazard and risk assessments according to relevant standards, creating and maintaining safety documentation, and collaborating with internal departments, external testing organizations, and authorities. The position also involves training employees on safe machinery and plant operation, as well as staying updated on legal and normative developments in plant safety. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in machine and plant safety
  • Experience with pressure equipment, electrical test facilities, and their safety requirements
  • Experience with relevant norms and guidelines (e.g., BetrSichV, Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, DIN EN 50191, DIN EN 50052, DIN EN ISO 13849)
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and CE conformity procedures
