Job Summary

This Junior Bio Operator role, based in Biberach an der Riß, involves supporting the industrial-scale manufacturing of biotechnological therapeutic proteins and antibodies for a renowned pharmaceutical research company. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and managing fermentation and harvesting plants, executing various filtration processes, and preparing production-scale buffer solutions. A critical component of the role is maintaining rigorous quality standards by cleaning and sterilizing process equipment and ensuring accurate batch documentation, largely managed through electronic manufacturing software, all under strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Bio Specialist, Pharmaceutical Technician, or similar qualification, coupled with strong organizational skills and manual dexterity. The position requires readiness for a 2-shift schedule (early/late) including mandatory weekend work every third week. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Completed vocational training in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical fields
  • Professional experience in industrial-scale production
  • Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions (ideally)
  • Several years of professional experience in a related technical field (e.g., Mechatronics, Brewing) if lacking direct pharmaceutical/chemical training
