Job Summary

This role offers an ambitious professional the opportunity to join the Professorship for Electrical Energy Systems at the Helmut-Schmidt-University in Hamburg, working within the crucial Hamburg Energy Research Network (EFH). The primary focus is on preparing and submitting scientific project proposals centered on future energy topics, including electrical and multimodal energy networks, e-mobility, charging infrastructure, and hydrogen systems. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting independent research based on scientific methods, organizing network activities, communicating with academic and industry partners, and contributing to teaching (3.0 trimester hours). This position is ideal for candidates holding a Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field who are seeking advanced scientific qualification, such as pursuing a PhD or Habilitation, while contributing to cutting-edge energy research in a dynamic academic setting.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master or Diplom [univ.]) in Energy Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering Sciences, or Natural Sciences with good results.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Electrical Energy Systems (desired)
  • Experience in Project Management, preferably in an academic or research environment
  • Experience in structured and independent working methods
  • Demonstrated interest in scientific work and aptitude for teaching
